MAKE ROOM FOR A HORSE IN YOUR HEART!

WE DESPERATELY NEED TO CULL OUR RESCUE HERD FOR THE COMING WINTER MONTHS DUE TO FINANCIAL HARDSHIP.  DONATIONS SIMPLY ARE NOT COMING IN AND WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO AFFORD FEED FOR OUR ENTIRE HERD.  WE ARE LOOKING FOR HOMES FOR THESE FINE HORSES - C.J., LEGO, TEMUJIN AND SAVVY.

PHOTOS OF ALL 4 HORSES ARE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS EMAIL.

OUR ADOPTION FEE IS $600 PER HORSE TO GOOD HOMES THAT HAVE:

1.  Good horse fencing and shelter in cold weather.
2.  Regular vet and farrier care for horses.
3.  Basic understanding of horse husbandry, riding and training.
4.  Patient and compassionate people.
5.  Financial ability to care for horses.

C.J. - 9 year-old chestnut Appendix gelding, well-trained, sound, responsive and willing worker.  Needs patient handling and time to get to know his new environment and new people.  Bathes, loads, trailers, stands for farrier, stands for regular vet care (not afraid of shots).  Willing worker but needs experienced and able rider.  Needs shoes all riding season.

TEMUJIN - 7 year-old dapple-gray Arabian gelding, sound, eager to learn, previously not handled with patience but has overcome many fears, needs steady hand.  Trailers, bathes, ties, good on trail or in arena.  Beautiful motion.  Needs confident and patient rider, someone willing to work with a very beautiful and intelligent horse.  Needs shoes all riding season.

SAVVY - 3 year-old grade quarterhorse, red roan, started under saddle this summer but needs lots more work soloing.  Great under saddle when bridled but led by someone on ground, a little nervous when ridden solo, but willing to learn.  No problem accepting bit and bridle.  Trailers, bathes, stands for farrier.  Very friendly and calm.  Completely sound.  So far, because of only light riding, has not been shod during riding season.

LEGO - 11 year-old American paint, seasoned trail and arena horse, used in 4-H for many years.  Has mild arthritis in both stifles but does well with joint supplements and bute or aspirin on days he is being ridden.  Requires joint injections twice yearly to maintain flexibility.  Pleasing personality, confident horse.  Recommended for light riding at walk/trot.  Occasional canter on soft ground.   Needs to be maintained in shoes all year round, wearing studded shoes in winter.

If you are interested in meeting these horses, would like more information or photos, call Barbara Wright at (303) 816-0766 or email her at harmonyhorsewrks@aol.com or barbara@harmonyhorseworks.com.
